AEMA/SAR Alberta Standards Committee SAR Consultation Sessions

Six (6) joint AEMA / SAR Alberta Standards Committee SAR Consultation sessions were scheduled in early December with good participation. Background was provided on both the AEMA Fire & Emergency Service Training Initiative (FESTI) as well as the work of the SAR Alberta Standards Committee. Participants were asked the following questions:

(During introductions) - If there was ONE thing you could change with respect to SAR training, what would it be?
What are the current STRENGTHS of SAR Training?
What are the current WEAKNESSESS with respect to SAR Training?
What can be done to IMPROVE search and rescue training?
How can SAR Alberta support you in training, operations and administration?

Are edited for length and shouldn't have any images.

The editor prefers documents in Word Perfect, but

most Word documents can usually be converted.

The editor can't verify accuracy of the information received,

so the information is the responsibility of the submitter.
