How and Why would I make a donation to SAR Alberta? Our provincial association strives to protect life by enabling better
preventative eduation and emergency response delivery to lost or missing
Monetary donations are gracious accepted, as well as some gifts-in-kind. Cheques can be made out to "SAR Alberta", and mailed to our organizational mailbox at SAR Alberta, #142, 9768 - 170 St, Edmonton, AB, T5T 5L4.
Complying with federal legislation, we are required to direct a minimum 80% of all funding we issue charitable receipts for, towards organizational programs and services. SAR Alberta has no staff, therefore no donation to us would be used to pay wages. Instead, all organizational funding is focused on enabling more preventative education and better emergency response for Alberta. Do I get a receipt with my donation? How? For monetary donations and gifts-in-kind that we are able to accept, SAR Alberta will issue charitable receipts upon request. Please ensure you have provided us with your full name and an address we can mail the receipt to you, within 6 weeks of our receiving the donation. What if I wish to include a donation to SAR Alberta in my will? This type of donation requires consultation with SAR Alberta, prior to your inclusion in any estate planning. Please contact SAR Alberta to inquire as to the benefits and consideration of this type of donating, prior to making such important decision. How do I contact SAR Alberta if I need more information or assistance with my donation? Because SAR Alberta is totally comprised of volunteers, we do not have staff that can immediately respond to your questions. However your interest in supporting our organization is important, so please direct your request for assistance to SAR Alberta's Treasurer at accountinggod@shaw.ca.
